Video processor paitial and full screen display

FAQ Time:2015-09-09

  • 1. Introduction

VDWALL video processors are equipped with Part and Full screen display. On which occasion shall this function be used? Is there any special notice of this functions? The following is a brief introduction.

  • 2. Full-screen partial display instructions

Full (full screen display): It is the most commonly used state. In this state, no matter the input signal is analogue camera, DVD, or digital DVI, HDMI, the processor will scale the image to fit the LED screen for Full screen display.

Part (partial display), at this state, LED screen only displays a part of the input image. This function is valid when the current signal is PC input signal (VGA / DP / DVI / HDMI), and other signals are fixed in the Full state.

Why we need Part display? Limited by the bandwidth of video processor, image quality will downgrade during scaling. Compare to video image, text is more sensitive to image scaling, especially when input signal with 4:3 aspect ratio need scaling to 16:9, or scale up image for several times. Text will be deformed and blurred, sharpness lost. To overcome this issue, we developed partial image display, pixel to pixel image quality, without image deformation. Partial image display usually works with media playing software, such as LED studio, LED vision etc.

  • 3. Notice

Partial display provides pixel to pixel image quality, it is not simply activate the partial state only. The input resolution generated by PC graphics card must be in consistency with processor output resolution, or else, image scaling still exists.
