The maximum output resolution of LVP 603 is 1920×1080 or 1600×1200. To drive an LED display within this resolution, two small sending cards or one large sending card needed, ; if LED screen resolution exceed single LVP 603 driving capability, we may cascade multiple LVP 603s to expand driving ability.
LVP 603 adopt frame synchronization technology, overcomes the problem of misalignment or driving latency during multiple units cascading, achieve real-time, clear and smooth video display effects.
LVP603 supports multiple processors cascading, thus combine several screen units to one large screen. For example, set LVP 603 output resolution to 1920×1080. If two LVP603s cascading, it will enable screens driving within 3840*1080.
LVP 603 multiple units cascading setup input image parameters as following table:
Item No. | Menu item |
21 | Sync Mosaic |
22 | Input width |
23 | Input height |
24 | Input H_start |
25 | Input V_start |
Note: When LVP 603 is in cascading mode, in order to ensure image consistency, image quality parameters of each processor such as brightness/chroma/bias/sharpness must be same.
The following is an example of 2×2 splicing with 4 LVP 603s, detailed connection and setup is as following.
LED total resolution is 3456×1920. Applied 2*2 equal splicing, each unit screen resolution is 1728×960. Please refer to the following picture.。
#1(1728×960) | #2(1728×960) |
#3(1728×960) | #4(1728×960) |
The following is the system topology:
In the above picture, all input signals are connected to main control processor #0 LVP 603 for one key switch, #0 LVP 603 will output to 4 unit LVP 603 via DVI distributor, 4 unit LVP 603 jointly display the image on LED screen.
The detailed parameter settings of 5 LVP603s are as follows:
PS: To ensure sync splicing, please pay attention to the following settings:
1. Must use DVI input port for splicing, signal switch is invalid during splicing;
2. 5 processors should set same output resolution
There are two options of "synchronize" and "insynchronize". The "synchronize" option can ensure that the output images are completely synchronized in real time, and the "insynchronize" option has better compatibility.
There are 4 options for this item: 100%, 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4. 100% means to input all horizontal images, 1 / N(N=2,3,4) means to capture only 1/N of the input image. If three LVP603s are spliced in the horizontal direction, each LVP603 only captures 1/3 of the input image. Press the "←" or "→" key to select the input image width value, then press the "Enter" button to save and apply.
As shown in the example of Figure 5, the input image width of 4 LVP 603 should be set as:
input image width = 1 / 2
There are 4 options for this item: 100%, 1/2, 1/3 and 9/16. 100% means to input all vertical images, 1 / N(N=2,3,4) means to crop only 1/N of the input image. If three LVP603s are spliced in the vertical direction, each LVP603 only crops 1/3 of the input image. 9 / 16 This item can be used in conjunction with item 24 "Input Vertical Start"when the video source aspect ratio is 16:9 which causes black borders at the top and bottom of the screen. Press the "←" or "→" button to select the input image height value, then press the "Enter" button to save and apply.
As shown in the example of Figure 5, the input image height of 4 LVP 603s should be set as:
input image height = 1 / 2
Set the horizontal starting point for LVP603 to crop the input image, as shown in the example of Figure 5, the input horizontal starting point of 4 LVP 603s should be set as:
1. LVP603 input H_ start = 0
2. LVP603 input H_ start = 960 = 960
3. LVP603 input H_ start = 0
4. LVP603 input H_ start = 960
Set the vertical starting point of the LVP603 to crop the input image, as shown in the example in Figure 5, the vertical starting point of four LVP 603s input should be set as:
1. LVP603 input V_start = 0
2. LVP603 input V_start = 0
3. LVP603 input V_start = 540
4.LVP603 input V_start = 540
